Honestly, I think the Rosicrucians have the right idea.  They want to keep the world’s population down to a level that is Earth friendly, have world courts to settle disputes….  That is not the Bush agenda obviously.  Heavy population means more consumerism and money in the hands of those in power.  Don’t settle disputes in court.  Just crush the enemy.

They’ve got a museum, too—at least they used to and I think they still do. It’s in San Jose, Calif. (I lived in San Jose for a while and always meant to go there because it’s devoted to Egyptian artifacts, but somehow or other I never made it.) So I wouldn’t call them precisely “secret”—heck, they probably have conventions and a newsletter and everything.

They’ve a website too…
