Hi

I created a myspace profile but all I seem to get are these silly tarts in their revealing clothes. They get their profiles deleted as they must be spam. Is there another such site with less of this problem?

They are basically all the same Peter.  Different layout but as soon as you have a place where you have friends lists you will have all those spam things inviting you.

I am on both MySpace and Facebook and they both have this problem alas. It is inevitable I think.

I haven’t received any Facebook spam, but it’s still early.  In MySpace you can set it so that only people who know your email address can ask to be your friend.  I’ve set mine that way and stopped getting the spam.

lots of Facebook friends here and no spam. The nice thing in Facebook is you have control over your privacy settings and who sees what. You can really limit the information that it puts out.

I find messages in myspace that have the profiles deleted before I can actually get a chance to see them.

That’s because they’re from sex spammers.  Before too long they’ll be from gold spammers, as well.  wink

This happens also on YouTube and Live Video accounts as well as MySpace.  I have a Facebook account but never use it.  On YouTube I have to keep cleaning out comments that aren’t comments at all but get put at the top of all other comments with links to porn and dating sites.  I’m not sure how they manage to get placed above older comments so they are the first ones to be read but they do.  Then when you click on their YouTube ID you only get a basically blank page and often they aren’t members anymore at all.  I’ve discovered that some are only members for all of 30 minutes.  Same thing with MySpace.  I click BAN USER or SPAM.
