The heck of it is, I could believe that is real. I seriously found a website run by a Christian woman. Hardcore. She had the usual pages on how Harry Potter was satanic. She also had a page on how Spiderman possibly promoted Satanism because of (A) the pseud-science aspect and (B) the “peace” hand symbol he uses at one point (all fingers in a fist with the index, pinkie, and thumb extended), which for some reason the site owner thought was the sign of the devil. And a page on the perverted evil of Sailor Moon, railing on how the energy crystals get their power from Satan.
She also considered the fact that a Fruit of the Looms commercial was possibly Satanic, on the basis that they have a crystal ball in it.
So yeah, there are very ridiculous notions going on out there.
I have in laws who are like this. They even believe that a lot of the kids’ cartoons are evil with the intent to raise our children as Satanists b/c the cartoons contain talking animals. Apparently talking animals are only possible withing the occult lifestyle.
I know. The whole “If it’s not in nature, it’s satanic!” argument. I’m personally insulted by that, it pretty much says that a kid is so stupid that they’ll grow up believing that animals can talk to them. I think children can figure out on their own that cartoon animals aren’t real. Like how said woman seems to the Tellitubbies have alterior motives
Carmen I’m guessing you mean NEO folks? Then I’m guessing they read him and siblings any children’s imaginative story books when he was little? Guess I should ask you that NEO if Carmen’s referenced ‘in-laws’ are your folks.
At any rate, often such ideas are generated by imaginative minds that don’t know where or when boundaries should be erected, OR when ideas are not clearly understood as in the news post here at: Humans glow in visible light wherein my reply seems to ‘radiate’ right back here with bizarre fears:
Hey Carmen? Your smiley there appears to be a spamlink. Those smiley places are some of the most notorious spyware/trojan hosts on the planet behind porn and torrent sites..
Oh, and the ‘peace’ sign is actually the ASL sign for ‘I Love You’, combining the letters I, L, and Y.
Eh, it’s a symbol. It has no specific intrinsic meaning, but has whatever meaning you give to it when you use it. Of course, that doesn’t mean that everybody else who uses it means it the same way. So while to some ultra-conservative Christians and other folks who are ignorant of sign-language it actually mean something Satanic, for most of the rest of the world it doesn’t. Sadly, the ultra-conservative Christians seem to think that their chosen meaning can be the only meaning.

I recall not once my ‘folks” reading to me, so no, no imaginative stories were read.
NEO, that is by far one of the saddest or sadistic tales I’ve heard in a long time. That a parent cannot find it within themselves to stoke the curious imagination of a child is very like not tending a fertile garden. It removes the idea of dreams, of goodwill, of laughter and dance or the wanting to know what a robin thinks when he sings, or what a dolphin feels when he spins from the water and twirls down through the spray. In the end, it attempts to remove from that tender mind the tolerance, acceptance and empathy for other people and earth’s critters.
There is a sweet softness and tenderness that can be nurtured by such fun and I hope and believe that you give to your little ones all the grand stuff you were denied in your own childhood NEO…............certainly Carmen is the best instrument to that end!
