Actually, it’s a prank CP.  You stack lots of rocks on the short side, then release the catch causing the long side to swing up and crack your unsuspecting victim under the chin rendering them unconcious while hilarity ensues.  He’ll make millions!

MY GOD!  YOU’VE INVENTED THE LEVER!  Scientests have been hyopothesizing about it for millenia, but they never thought it was possibe (at least not in our three dimensions).

I think he’s still testing his device.

Obviously he’ll want to present us with concrete proof of perpetual motion, so I expect he’s just checking that his machine really does run forever first. This takes time[*]. Had it not worked, no-one here doubts for a second that SW would have been back here like a shot to admit his mistake like any rational, non-deluded person.
