Maybe in terms of number of people fooled but even at the time I thought it was false. Before that I’d studied photography and the film just looked too sharp and “modern” for something that was supposedly shot in the 1940s.

Still, it is quite memorable.

Actually one of the main reasons that they found it was false is because they didn’t use colour, in something like this they would use colour. the other reason was because the dude wasn’t holding the scissors correctly and wasn’t handling the organs in the rite way.

And the caution sign wasn’t around in the 1940s, and the clock is set at an unusual time for a autopsy.

True but i was only putting down the main reasons… and why on earth would the have the sighn inside, wouldnt they have it outside before you go in?

I knew it was a hoax the moment I saw it. It didn’t look at all like I remembered!

I knew it was a hoax before they even showed it, when they were hyping it up in ads and commercials.

I mean, c’mon….

IMHO the best Hoax of all time was the Orson Welles War of the Worlds radio broadcast.

Ahhhhhh, I forgot about that, but i did say ” one of the greatest,” so many people fell for it, the loch-nest monster was great, it was actualy a small doll in the lake and took a picture of it close up.
The big foot one was great too.
