As an allergy sufferer in the Ohio Valley (the most unfriendly allergy location on Earth), I was grossed out yet intrigued by THIS .
Basically you pour water into one of your nostrils, your sinuses fill up, cleansing results, and the water comes out the other nostril. (Note the picture in the link) It’s supposed to clean out pollen, dust, and other irritants. Anybody heard of this before or used one? I guess it’s like a sinus enema.

I used to do that, but not with an actual Neti Pot, just a bottle of warm water. I would get really stuff noses durring those MN winters and that helped out a lot. I have not needed it since moving to San Diego though and I am glad for that.

Does it count if you blow water out of your nose when someone makes you laugh??? That seems to clear things out for me.

It’s a common and well known remedy in my parts of the woods.
As to its effiency, though, I’m a bit skeptical.

The only thing it did for me was get buggers out of my nose. Thats the reason I tried it.

I do that when I have a cold and I want to be able to breathe through my nose. It’s nice once in a while, anyway.

Since not everything is easily water-soluble, though, you may want to try some variations. Try vodka, perhaps. Or hot tea/coffee, to clear out any waxy build-up. Or if you use soapy water, then you can impress people by blowing bubbles from your nose for hours afterwards.
For the really blocked up nose, though, try some concentrated hydrofluoric acid.

I would like to be the first to say that I rather wish to keep Nettie out of my nose.
What?
