I really don’t see spidy 4 being made b/c the actors have other things going.  Although I know it’s not imposible, I just find it unlikely.  But, we all know the draw of the paycheck and what Sherlock Holmes theory of the improbable

So, once we disregard the impossible, whatever remains, however improbable, must be true?

While they may make a Spiderman 4, Sam Raimi directing is an impossibility and must be disregarded. He’ll make Evil Dead 4 first tongue wink

Raimi has said he wants to continue doing future SM (hehe) movies, Maguire was the one who didn’t want to.  He demanded an extremely large raise before considering more movies, and Sony was waiting to see how this movie performed before meeting that.  It now seems likely they’ll pay him what he wants, and Raimi too.  Dunst is the one out of luck, if she demands more money they’ll probably just drop her and bring in a cheaper actress since she’s generally not well liked anyway.

So yes, unless somebody dies I expect to see a Spider Man 4.  Hopefully it will be better than 3.

They are going to make spider man 4 and 5. Just differnt actors if it comes down to it,

I don’t like it when they use new actors. I think it should be illegal.

Like Dumbledore. I loved the old one. Though I suppose death could be an exception, but anywho. Yeah, I hate it when they change lead actors.

Maybe they can use new actors by sort of shoving aside the old characters and introducing new ones.

“Coming soon from Acme Film Productions, Inc.:  Slothman!  The three-part story of Spiderman’s lesser known crime-fighting cousin, who battles the forces of evil in his own time.

Slothman I - (running time:  3:47:53) Slothman picks up his toothbrush and prepares to apply the toothpaste!
Slothman II - (running time:  4:31:14) Slothman applies toothpaste to his brush, but then (in an ingenious cliffhanger ending) he drops the tube’s cap!!!!
Slothman III - (running time: 18:52:06) Slothman searches the bathroom floor for the missing cap, while his enemies gradually waste away from the ravages of old age.  Thus Slothman triumphs over his foes!“

Like Dumbledore. I loved the old one. Though I suppose death could be an exception, but anywho. Yeah, I hate it when they change lead actors.

I suppose they could have kept the original actor.  Some strings and pulleys, a bit of creative make-up. . .sure, why not?

I’m sure Richard Harris’ family wouldn’t have objected, so long as they continued to receive his salary.  Or, in a vile twist sure to annoy the fans, Dumbledore could have turned out to be Voldemort in disguise!  Then they wouldn’t have to use artificial means to make him appear hideous.

*Sigh*  I suppose I should do this before making my comment.

SPOILER BELOW!

Well, it would make filming the ending of Half-Blood Prince a bit easier…

Oh that’s the best practical joke ever.

Final Harry Potter film and they change it so Voldemort turns out to be Dumbledore. Or Harry wakes up and it’s aaaaaaaall been a dream.

Then the director walks on and says “What? Since when did the movie follow the book?“

Or Harry could suddenly shout “Voldemort is too strong for us I must call…Optimus Prime!“ Optimus comes in, crushing a few walls while Voldemort turns into Megatron! Then perfect film smirk
