But that doesn’t surprise me. Lots of things seem smaller than they used to be - and They just keep on saying it’s because you’re bigger, not the product that’s gotten smaller.
Christian was watching that video last night, it was rather funny because that’s the thing this guy kept saying Smerk - it’s because you’re bigger! The guy then pulls out a creme egg he’s kept from several years ago and compares it to the ones from today. It’s bigger but as to whether it’s a real creme egg from years ago is a different story. I mean, come on, who could leave a creme egg uneaten for several years???
I can tell you that they really are smaller because my grandmother tends to buy candy on sale after the holidays when the prices on it are slashed. She hoards it, and since she’s in her nineties, she tends to forget she’s bought it so it sits and sits. Anyhow, maybe 2 years ago now, my father found a bunch of creme eggs in a bag in the back of her pantry that were so old, the once clear plastic bag they were in was yellowed. I don’t know what year she purchased them, but he said they were considerably larger than the ones now. This annoyed him considerably
I wish that video was working because I’d send it to him
Hrm, but it’s saying the smaller egg is a recent addition. My father’s revelation came when he was going through some things after my grandfather died. It was at least a year ago, maybe two, so he’s either on crack, or they’ve shrunk once before
I actually don’t mind if they’re smaller. I always thought they were way to big to eat all at once…so I would eat part of it, then throw it away. (Not that I didn’t go on to eat more candy…but THAT particular candy, I could only handle so much of before I would get icky feeling.)
