Good god Maegan! That woman sounds like exactly the type of parent I fear. Reminds me of an episode of that weird programme Eerie Indiana I used watch when I was a kid about a mum who made her kids sleep in giant tupperware containers. Dont know why it stuck with me…

Hmmm makes sense that the body would force you to crave minerals in this manner if your diet wasnt providing I suppose. Only time I have ever seen someone literally eat dirt was during an Iron Stomach competition in college. Granted they also ate sticks of lard, cow testes, maggots and sour milk. Shudder

eeewww, thats nasty….sticks of lard??? maggots??? sour milk??? and worst of all, Rocky Mountain Oysters….*retches*

Yes, it was nasty, was always fearful someone watching might puke and produce some sort of mass puking epidemic in the audience because even watching it was horrific. The aim of the entire thing was not to puke - ie if you did you were out. A guy I knew won it and his prize was a free bunjee jump. Cruel.

I remember that one! It was the first one I ever saw.
God, I loved that show.

NONONONO!

There was one episode where the boy put on lipstick for a laugh, and his mouth went all tiny, and my parents forced me to go out, and I NEVER FOUND OUT WHAT HAPPENED!

I’m still freaked out by that show, just because of that one episode.

God, I’m so off-topic.
So, pica then…
