My great movie idea…

Title of movie:
“Harry and Axel”

Plot summery:
Harry Callahan (from the “Dirty Harry” movies) is only seven days from retirement when he is reluctantly partnered with Axel Foley (from the “Beverly Hill Cop” movies). Now it is up to these two notorious detectives to track down and stop a bomb-planting ex-C.I.A. agent while at the same time avoid being killed by various assassins hired by mobsters to kill Callahan.

The movie preview would go something like this:
- Shot of exploding building.
- Footage from car chase.
- A clever remark by Callahan followed by a snappy comeback by Foley.
- Another explosion
- A shot of an angry mobster yelling “I want Callahan and Foley DEAD!!!”
- Callahan firing his signature 44 magnum
- Truck explosion
- Shot of sexy women dancing in a night club.
- A clever remark by Foley followed by a snappy comeback by Callahan.
- Gun fight
- Helicopter crash
- Ends with Foley’s signature laugh.

What do you all think? Would you go see it? Do you think it would make money?

So, basically a remake of “Lethal Weapon.”

Eastwood gets to say “I’m too old for this” and Eddie does a three stooges impression.

Why not?

You should call it “Dirty Axel”!

(Or perhaps “City Heat 2 - This time there’s no Burt Reynolds!”)

I’ll watch it only if I can make sarcastic remarks during the movie about how much of a formula movie it is

How about a movie where Eddie Murphy plays a Beverley Hills cop trying to track down a nuclear warhead stolen by renegade USAF pilot John Travolta? You could call it Broken Axel.

Or one where Jethro Clampett and Axel Foley team up to rescue Elly-May from kidnappers seeking to shut down ‘Clampett Oil’ and disrupt America? Call it Beverley Hillbilly Cop!

Not too sure if any of you have seen Pablo Fransico on Comedy Central but he does this great sketch about a new Arnie movie called Little Tortilla Boy. I found a vid on YouTube that someone has put together to make it into a preview.

Suncrafter, sounds a bit like most of the movies from the 70s and 80s.  They’d still go but would have to be animated.
