Didn’t you know?  When you play Mozart’s Serenade in G Major backwards, it says, “Haydn is a hack”. . .

OH MY GOD, you are right!!! I just checked, and all you have to do is place the notes upside down, transpose them, and the message is clear if you only read every fifth note from the left, adding 143 (the height of the great pyramid at Giza in old yards) and subtract their ASCII numbers (“A” is 65 and so on).

Creepy!!!

Hehe, I so agree.

Philistine.  I happen to like some Haydn, especially one of his concertos.

My favourite was that one about the Indian Moghul and the temple dancer. I can’t remember its name, but as a child I loved to play Haydn’s Sikh.

I don’t know, I always have found haydn particularly boring.

How can you play a cd backwards?

You probably need a special software program to do so.

You just plug headphones into your CD/DVD rewinder.

Hi all, I’m new here.  [insert waving smiley]  Brand new. Day old.
I stumbled upon this forum after Googling “23 minutes hell hoax”. After perusing that relatively old but very interesting thread, I read seveal other threads here, and thought I just HAD to join this forum. Such a bunch of intelligent and witty regulars here.    I tend to get very wordy—devil’s in the details, I say (weak pun on present thread half-intended)—but I have a feeling that’s not a big sin here.

So anyway, as I often do, I tangent surfed after reading THIS thread, and found this interesting little site. It doesn’t have Jay Z’s song in it, but it’s got what I suppose must be the “classics” of songs with satanic messages when played backwards. Great fun.

After I posted the last message, I listened to the Britney Spears one. Its purported “message” isn’t satanic but it’s clear as day and absolutely hilarious! *rofl*

With most (or perhaps all!) of them though, I suspect I personally wouldn’t be able to make out the “message” if I didn’t have the lyrics written out for me.
