Links to Google Maps are maddening.  This software has a habit of changing the links on you and it can be a nightmare to get it to accept the correct one.  It took me about 15 minutes of various copy/paste techniques before I got the Indian Head link to take.

Cool, I’d love to do a corn maze sometime.

For many years there was a sunflower maze just outside the town here each summer, made by the municipality. I was cool.

Less cool is it when you have to do fieldwork in a corn field….

I was hoping to see someone with a very creative hair-do.

Get it?  Corn maze is an elaborate formation of corn rows?

Then how about an amazing maize maze?

The “Amazing Maize Maze” is just about 45 minutes south of me, near Horntown, Virginia.  I’d try looking for that on Google Maps, but I’m not really sure of its exact position relative to Horntown or to anything else, and since it’s only there for a few months out of the year it likely wouldn’t even be in the image database.

I did try looking to see if the wimpy little hedge maze can be seen behind the Governor’s Palace at Colonial Williamsburg in Virginia across the Bay from me, but the images for that region don’t seem to go down to that resolution.
