Listened to the book on tape. Very very noir.

The Black Dahlia

I had to keep in mind that this was a fictionalization BASED on a real story, and that the real story actually played very littel part in the book. However, it was a good read if you could get past the racial and sexist slurs of the period (1943-1947). My first noir read actually, and just a little creepy.

My wife thought it was out on dvd already so she rented what she thought was it, but it was a cheesy B flick. We watched about ten minutes and then returned it.
