Key word being “tricked”.  Actors don’t trick people into thinking they are someone else.  They are performing a part and the audience is aware of that.

Role-players aren’t tricking other role-players into thinking they’re someone else.  They’re in an environment where everyone is doing it and everyone is aware of it.  And if you think that other person really is an orc warrior from the Hills of Orcs maybe you’re just tricking yourself.

Same with children playing “house”.  Everyone involved is aware it’s a game and not real.  There is no tricking.

Unfortunately, a lot of these questions don’t paint a full picture.  I donate to charity.  But should it count differently if I donate $1 at the grocery check out stand once a year than if I donated $1000 to Hurricane Katrina relief?

I gave a dollar to a beggar once.  I’ve never given anything else to a beggar (before or after).  So am I still virtuous because of that one act?  Does not helping all those others diminish that?

Do I love to shop for myself even when I don’t need anything new?  Yes.  Of course.  Do I shop for myself even when I don’t need anything new.  Not normally, no.  But I would like to.

Do I have any pagan religious beliefs?  I don’t know.  Does Halloween count?  Would Islamic or Buddhist beliefs qualify as pagan for this Catholic/Christian-biased test?

Is a pimp a good thing to be?  I don’t know.  It might be fun to try it out and get back to you, though.

By the way, I’ll be on the 6th level, too.

Eh. I ended up about half in Purgatory, and half in the eighth circle, The Malebolge.

I guess I must be kinda fradulent, malicious, and a panderer. Not the kind of guy you’d want to buy a used car from.

Still, I answered that being a pimp was bad, and I’m Catholic, so I got the whole no sex before marrige, so I might escape the panderer’s torment…

Hmmm.  I hope that the Malebranche are good conversationalists, as it looks like I’ll be spending time with them on Level 8.  At least I’ll have snakes to play with.  And Ms. Thunder as well, it seems, though since she’s such a youngster I’ll have to make sure that I’m always polite and proper in behaviour with her (after all, I’ll already be in Hell; I don’t need to be flamed by wrathful dragons in addition to everything else ).

Although really, a lot of the “sins” I answered yes to I haven’t done in quite a while.  More’s the pity. . .

Apparently I’m on Level 7. Oh well.

If you all get too rowdy up there on Level 7, Madmouse, I’m going to get a broomstick and bang on the ceiling with it.  I’m warning you, though:  don’t make me have to go up there and ring your doorbell.

Sorry,  Thin ceilings so the upstairs neighbors annoy you with their clomping around and screams of agony are part of the punishments of Hell.  You don’t have a recourse.

I am level 5…so Thundy is more evil than me!!!!!
