The chinese place down the street makes these really fantastic spring rolls…they almost taste like the real thing.

A friend of my mom’s from Vietnam showed us how to make Vietnamese spring rolls….Fabulous.  But the recipe I have is for about a million spring rolls.  So we never make them.

Now that I have a Sam’s card though, it’ll be easier to buy for them though.

Mmm….12 pounds of ground pork.

mmm, love good chinese, japanese, vietnamese etc food….hard to find a good place, usually it’s one those joints in a strip mall that really make you question just what exactly they are serving you.

Yeah, I’m always slightly nervous about what I’m getting.  Especially b/c it all seems to taste the same.  Wouldn’t different foods taste differently??  They all taste the same.  BAH.

...and I wanna know what they’re doing to their rice.  It’s all dry and seperated.  Good chinese rice should be sticky.

the texture always concerns me…i have yet to get beef in a chinese joint that has the texture I would expect..always seems kinda..ummm…mushy…is the best word i can think of.

I tend to go with the basics…veggie egg rolls…spring rolls…mixed veggie stir fry…i have developed an aversion to meat at chinese places….I do like sate though, with that awesome peanut sauce..although thats a thai dish
