Darn, I seem to be all out of giant mutated arachnid repellant.  I’d better get some more, so I’ll be ready when the spiders start to mutate after all the radiation builds up.

Remember to wear your mithril chainmail to protect against giant spider bites.

Why does the chit chat today sound like a D&D senario?

I was thinking more of the spider in The Lord of the Rings trilogy, but I guess D&D applies equally well since it’s inspired by Tolkien.

I’ve never been much of a LoR fan, but once upon a long time ago I did the D&D thing.

It’s been a long, long time since I read the books.  I was basically going by the movies, because I actually remember something about them.  It’s been awhile since we gamed, nobody seems to want to any more.

DD died when on-line gaming came in Chary. Oh, hi by the way, it’s been a while!

It didn’t die, Mort.  In fact, it’s still going strong.  They still come out with at least a dozen new books a year, and there are tons of games based on their licensed game system.  raspberry

But yes, online gaming has hurt traditional gaming as well, as traditional computer gaming.

Hi, Mort. It has been a while!

And DD isn’t totally dead. There are still a few straglers. I’d get back into it, but I just don’t have the time.

When I was a lad we used to play Warhammer & stuff, but that doesn’t seem to be as popular anymore either, but the odd game of Risk over a few beers is always good! There’s something about world domination that is appealing to me, muhahaha!
