...is whether we will now have a forum about whether
correct grammar is a URL or an URL.

I am close to being ashamed to admit that this is one of the little stupid things that trouble me.

Not whether or not a thread will start about it, but which is correct…

Also, please note that I am not correcting the typo that was all but flashing and yelling at me from the part of the sentence I left out of the quote.  I wasn’t strong enough to not mention that it was there though…  Please Karma, don’t see this as me being critical of you.  I’m aware that my mild obsession is obnoxious and uncalled for.  But it’s an old friend of mine, so I indulge it.

hmmm Quantum Physics
The explanation which one gives to a child is, usually, simplified to make sense
within his/her limited experience.
This does not, however, preclude (as hcmomof would have you believe) the
existence of a more comprehensive adult version nor that this adult version
can form the basis of technological developments.

Karma

According to Karma, this is the simplified version:
“Quantum physics tries to explain the behavior of even smaller particles. These particles are things like electrons, protons, and neutrons. Quantum physics even describes the particles which make these particles!”

And this is the more comprehensive adult version:
“When I am asked what quantum physics is, I am compelled to answer that it is the final scientific proof that God is real.”

I’m not even being sarcastic when I say that I understand where Karma is coming from now.

“Hi Cranky,
I don’t see any need for me to do your work for you.”

See, that’s the thing: it ISN’T “my” work. YOU’RE the one making a strong allegation about Randi, calling him a fraud.

What I get from this is that you CAN’T point to anything that “proves” that there is fraud involved with Randi’s Challenge. In that case, all you’re really doing is making serious accusations against someone with NO substantiation. I think we can all now feel free to not take you seriously on this matter. Nice try at palming it off on me, though.

Entertainment Galore:

In checking out the Harmony Chip website I came across the following picture. Look at #1 Men

http://www.harmonyunited.com/viewart-us.html?id=66

In psychiatry one occasionally comes across patients who wear tin foil under their cap to prevent the penetration of outside energy forces that might read thoughts or implant thoughts.

Here we see Karma applying the chip to his fontanel. He describes a single fontanel. However there are TWO. (Let’s ignore the mastoid fontanel and Sphenoidal Fontanel).

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Fontanelle

I presume he uses only the anterior fontanel because it’s easier to keep the piece of plastic on your head, as opposed to using the second fontanel, the occipital fontanel, where it might more easily slip off. You could staple it on, I suppose.

I guess it’s all in the detail.

However, I wonder why you need to apply the card (sorry, Harmony Chip) to this supposidly weaker area of the skull, when you can place the chip on a car engine to make it run better, or on a swimming pool pipe to make the pool use less chlorine.

Forgive me for being cynical ( what me, cynical?) but isn’t this part of the usual ploy of the good old MLM scams.

Use of words that people are familiar with (but not necessarily understand) in an attempt to make the product offered for sale appear to make sense.

BUZZ WORDS (Just a few) Quantum physics, fontanel, thymus gland, immune system, solar plexus, impotence, infertility, swimming pool, golf, chronic tiredness, vitality, high blood pressure,

I wait with eager anticipation more earth shaking insights from Mr. Singh.

You Cannot Be Serious!

Alzheimer’s
http://www.harmonyunited.com/web/us/biological/health.html#Alz

The answer to the pent up anger is to buy 4 Harmony Chips, 1 won’t be enough!

Epilepsy
http://www.harmonyunited.com/web/us/biological/health.html#Epi

“quite a simple problem”

Hepatitis
http://www.harmonyunited.com/web/us/biological/health.html#Hep

“Not an infection”

Kidney Failure
http://www.harmonyunited.com/web/us/biological/health.html#Kid

“This is preponderantly an emotional problem…”

You get the idea.

Mr. Singh, how you have avoided a period of compusory detention for psychiatric review is beyond me (perhaps you have?)

Maybe all of this is so complex only someone of your obvious “talents” can comprehend it. If that is the case, I thank you for struggling to enlighten me.

Damn.
If only I’d known that strokes were due to an inability to let go of the past. I wonder what past I couldn’t let go of when I had my first stroke at the age of 13…

Only two HCs needed (applied to the liver).

I think you’ve scared Mr Singh off with your high falutin’ logic and facts.

Karma
Say it ain’t so.

Surely you havn’t given up on us that easily?

How will you ever convince the world to purchase your product if you are not willing to answer simple questions?

Harmony Chip @ 117 Pounds Sterling @ $1.89 to the pound = $221.13

If you have Alzheimer’s you’ll need 4 X $221.13 = $884.52

What a bargain.  How you’ll keep the chips on the person with Alzheimer’s is debatable.

Let’s look at the Harmony Supercharger

http://www.harmonyunited.com/viewpro.html?id=4

For a mere $561.33 you can stick this thing on your car to do an amazing array of things from improving road holding to a cleaner burning engine.

But wait, there’s more:

Karma tells us here…
http://www.harmonyunited.com/web/us/hsc.html

...that the whole chip thing came out of making cars work better.

Read it and weep folks.

How are we doing so far Karma? Any comments?

I’m beginning to think there CAN be an alternate explanation to account for the harmony chip.

Karma met with ALIENS who have gave him the technology to sell to us mere earthlings.
Can there be any other explanation?

Anybody?

OK one last entry for now.

“The three major nerve centres of the human body are the brain, the spinal cord and the abdomen. The abdomen actually has a nerve structure just as complicated as the brain.”

Well, in Karma’s case this might actually be true!

“It is the function of the brain to process intellectual information. It is the function of the spinal cord to process bodily impulses. It is the function of the abdominal nerve complex to process intuitive and emotional information.

Wow! Who knew. All these years science thought emotions and intuition were seated in the brain. Silly science!

“It is precisely this which is the real purpose of the Harmony Chip.”

I thought it was to fix cars?

“The more balanced harmonious and happy people there are, the more peace and harmony will be spread by them across the World.”

AHA!

The master plan is revealed. The aliens want Karma to spread harmony across the world.

Too bad sales haven’t reached Israel, Lebanon, Iraq, Iran…

Funny how we usually assume aliens will squash us all like a bug!

Go figure.

You know, I’m beginning to feel safer and in harmony with my surroundings…and it didn’t cost me a dime.

Thank you Karma.

Even is all these ‘facts’ were true, it doesn’t mean a thing.  He has yet to explain how his device operates in the first place.  Making outlandish claims about how the human body, (and even the universe) works doesn’t tell us how his product works.  And rest assured that he will never, ever make a specific statement about the way in which his hunk of plastic actually goes about performing the miracles he claims it can perform.  Nor will you ever get to see those mythical ‘studies’ on its efficacy.

But at least you have the satisfaction of knowing that he’s a fraud (as opposed to deluded), and hopefully other people will figure it out as well.

Just as with the Lifewave patch scam, it gives me absolutely no satisfaction to think that a lot of people do get caught by these scams. You’d like to believe that people can see through these obvious money making enterprises, yet good people do get involved.

I suppose that’s what freedom of choice is all about, but just as Karma feels free to print the most amazing claims on his website, I will continue to feel free to poke a sharp stick at such claims.

Cheers,
Dave
