Steph, wouldn’t do much, these guys change email addys like most people change their underwear. Sending him email will just get you on his gang’s list as a responder, which will get you *tons* more email from these guys. They don’t even usually read the first response, just behave as if you asked questions out of interest in the faux money.

Some times I set up a one-time email alias via my ISP and send a reply. Usually I tell them I couldn’t read their email as I don’t have a computer, so could they print it out and mail it to me? Then I pass on the address of some random police force.

I wonder how many times that’s worked? *

* I know it sounds too stupid for words, but you’d be surprised. I once told a cold-caller who wanted me to change phone companies that I didn’t own a phone; he apologised for bothering me and hung up?!

But, I must say—-I’m surprised at you guys. I mean, here’s a kind, sharing, giving individual offering to share his good fortune with you. What does he get in return? Disbelief and accusations…

I’ve already contacted him…supplied my SSN, Checking account number, date of birth, library card, blood type, and Blockbuster movie card…he asked for my telephone number but I drew the line there. I mean, some things you just gotta be careful about sharing…ya know?

He’s quite nice. He said a sizable reward for my help is already on it’s way as I type. In anticipation, I’ve already gone out and purchased the speedboat and BMW I’ve always wanted. According to his note—-I’ll have plenty to pay for it with.

Yippee!! I can hardly wait!!! I’ll let you guys know how much I get!! It may not be too late for you to “apply” !!

If we miss out on this one, I’m sure we’ll get another email just like it soon.  There seems to be lots and lots of rich relatives of dead people out there in the Eastern hemisphere these days.

I’ve disabled the ability of members to send email through the site, so it won’t happen again. Members can send private messages to each other, so there’s no real need for the email feature, and hardly anyone had ever used it, except for Edward, who really went to town with it.

Thank goodness!  I was a tad worried that this would become a common occurence!

But about not sending email through the site anymore…HMPH.    I used it plenty.

I got this email in my YAHOO! account. I forwarded it to .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address), and got a nice letter back from them stating that they shut down the account. I know they will just open another somewhere, but if someone has their account shut down every time, then they have to keep doing it over and over.

I was surprised that this wasn’t caught by spam filters, too. The sender probably sent out many tests to get it to where the filters wouldn’t pick it up.

i never got it, i feel left out :(

of course it could have gone to my bulk mail folder which I empty periodically but never check the contents or maybe it was blocked by my filters.
