I remember hearing something similar about the movie The Wizard of Oz. It’s been years since I watched it, but in the first part of the movie there was some guy in a coat who was in a gypsy wagon or something like that. After filming was done, the actor found a cleaning-receipt in the pocket of the coat, saying that the coat had originally belonged to L. Frank Baum, the man who wrote the book The Wizard of Oz. I have no idea if this really happened or not, though.
