I love the joke, but it bothers me every time that the lighthouse guy never tries to say anything about being a light house earlier. I dunno, but it’d seem like a better joke to me if the captain kept interrupting him or something.

Wow, it kind of sucks to analyze jokes… I’ll stop now.

I’ve heard this both as a joke and as an urban myth and there is more than one version. Snopes probably knows which came first. Also, I’m fairly certain the video was linked to on the old forum, maybe a year or two ago.
