The woman went and investigated??  Really????  Sounds like a joke someone is trying to pull.

That’s what I think. The “screams” sound very human like….

Yeah….they do….The same thing happened next door to me….I heard a girl scream, and it came from my new neighbor’s apartment…Turns out it was one of those african, gray look’n parrots…..Freaked me out….

No, they sort of sound like, “erraaaaah erraaaah”

Peacocks never sounded remotely human to me.  Their cries remind me of something more along the line of a cat giving birth to a very large porcupine.  If you want an eerie screaming noise, listen to a rabbit being killed.  I rather doubt that somebody’s wandering around Ohio with a bag full of rabbits, though, killing them in dark alleyways.

A cougar’s scream can sound very human, much like a woman screaming.  I’ve only heard a cougar’s scream once, I swear every hair on my body was standing straight up.  Very eerie.
