yup, went to the south of france a few weeks ago with my parents and siblings, the french people couldnt understand a word i said, shows how much use four years of french and a gcse in it (next year) helps doesn’t it?
but no worries, i dont intend on living in france when i’m older, so the bare minimum in this subject shall have to do. wooh! only 13 people have posted more than me! what an achievement! of course, you’re second. dammit… must beat him….
I’ll let you in on a little secret: the French don’t really speak French. They just pretend. After all, who’d want to spend their lives speaking a language where you speak half the words through your nose and half the letters are silent? They all really go around speaking English or German or Spanish, and only pretend to speak French when foreigners are around. And since they don’t usually speak French, they’re rather bad at speaking it when they pretend to.
okay, i’ll remember that for next time. I was always amazed at how they spoke it. I mean, they are fluent at FRENCH at the age of three! I could hardly speak English!
