Well… I believe in them.  They’re good kids, and I think they really do want to learn.

Excellent timing; I was wondering what to take to read on holiday. Time to dust off my “Godel, Escher, Bach”, methinks.

Sigh.  Is it normal to laugh out loud when reading that sentence?  Even if you’ve read it before, twice or more?

Well,

Godel was okay, as far as it went. Shame he didn’t complete it though.

Escher was a bit more difficult. I’d read chapter after chapter, then suddenly find myself back at the beginning.

Bach was impossible! I mean “C-C-C FDBAGA GFE”, did this guy never get beyond H in the alphabet?
