For light reading, Lamb by Christopher Moore is great.  So is everything else he’s written.  Pay It Forward by I have no idea who, is possibly my favorite cry book ever.  I’m sure I’ve got a few dozen other favorite books, but none come to mind right off hand.

So, nobody reads Ray Bradbury here? Because I Sing The Body Electric! is one of the best short story collections ever.

That reminds me, Donald Westlake is also an excellent light reading author…

The Illustrated Man is probably my favourite book ever.
