Is Sage one of those kids who’s up early in the morning, all energetic and ready to go?

Oh my god, is he ever. 9/10 times he’ll wake me up by jumping on the bed, or more regularly, by jumping on my head. Then, for the extra 1/2 hour I’m in bed, he’ll usually come in every 5 minutes to show me a toy, or tell me what’s on TV, or ask me to read to him.

I am a very slow waker… if I had my choice, no one would talk to me for about 1/2 hour or so after I wake up, but it sure is nice to get up to a smiling face that I know is glad to see me.

Ah well, I’m scary nekkid anyway, so it’s probably for the best.

We tend to be very naked people in this house, somehow though.

Yes, I seem to recall you mentioning Sage’s nudist exhibitionist tendencies.

I’ve never had trouble waking up.  I’m asleep, then I’m awake.

Fred is such a cool pet, btw.

Yeah, he still gets like that…I’m forever telling him to put his pants back on, but at least now he seems to know that he can’t do that outside of our home. I’m sure that I have had a hand in that though…the later in the day the less clothes I usually have on, and I’m slow to put them on in the morning, too.

That’s probably a product of the way you grew up, though. You would have had to wake up quickly, I bet.

Well, at least you know that he’s not ashamed of his body!

That’s absolutely something I want to avoid with him. I want him to think his body is beautiful and strong and healthy. Less self esteem issues, I hope.

Speaking of strong…. The other day Sage asked me “Are you strong?” So I told him yes. For the past couple of days since he keeps saying “When I grow up, I want to be strong like you, Mum”. Cool, huh.

“Macho, macho girl!
She’s got to be a macho girl!”

Now he’ll be telling schoolyard bullies to watch out, or his mother will beat them up. . .

When I answered, I wasn’t actually thinking of physically strong.
