Actor Angus T. Jones, best known for his role as the half in CBS’s upsettingly successful Two and a Half Men, was raised in the Christian faith, but it wasn’t until a recent bout of soul-searching that the child star had a full-blown Kirk Cameron-esque awakening complete with the renouncement of his Godless past as a Hollywood heathen.

In a testimonial for Forerunner Christian Church, Jones talks about discovering the Seventh-day Adventist movement and its impact on his life, ultimately concluding that he no longer wants to be apart of Two and a Half Men or its culture.

“If you watch Two and a Half Men, please stop watching Two and a Half Men,” Jones tells viewers (starts around the 7:43-minute mark). “I’m on Two and a Half Men, and I don’t want to be on it. Please stop watching it, and filling your head with filth.” Jones goes on to bash television in general, urging his fans to “do some research on the effects of television and your brain, and I promise you you’ll have a decision to make when it comes to television.”

Neither CBS nor Warner Bros. TV have yet to issue an official reaction to Jones’s remarks.

Two and a Half Men is no stranger to controversy. Last year, lead actor Charlie Sheen was booted from the show in the aftermath of similarly incendiary comments he made against its creator.

Trust me.

And now Charlie Sheen offered him a role in his new show.

Pretty much any form of entertainment is pointless, other than to entertain. And I’ll assume Jake there is going to donate every penny of his evil money to a worthy cause?
