Het piepkleine Noord-Brabantse dorpje De Mortel is verblijd met een heuse babyboom. De oorzaak zou een bijzonder knus buurtfeest zijn dat vorig jaar werd gehouden.
In de wijk De Westrand, die slechts 32 huishoudens telt, zijn de afgelopen tijd maar liefst vijf baby’s geboren. En er zijn er nog zes meer op komst, zo meldt Omroep Brabant.
De voorzitter van de buurtvereniging houdt het op toeval en het gevolg van het goede leefklimaat in de wijk. Maar bewoners denken toch echt dat het buurtfeest de oorzaak is. Zij spreken eufemistisch van EEN ‘gezellige avond tot in de late uurtjes’.

However, locals think it´s it´s just coincidental with a cozy party that went a bit beyond…
