Thanks.

I’m mainly applying for IT related jobs like help desk, web development, database and IT consulting as far as the graduate roles go. For part time work while I’m studying it’s just anything really.

I’ve been offered a part time job. It still hasn’t completely sunk in but I’m feeling much less stressed now.

It’s a job as a web developer for a company.

At this stage I’m happy for the money even if it was without kudos. But yes I’m sure it will look good on my work history plus I do need that kind of experience.

I think I forgot to mention I lost the job before I even started. Let’s just say I was not impressed.

You’re not impressed because you don’t know why it was lost to you?  Do you suspect a ‘reason’ along the line of discrimination?

Probably a ‘huh, guess we don’t need that guy after all’ situation… though at that point I’d ask, “Well, yes.. but you *hired* me.. does this mean I get two weeks severance?”.. it’s not being snarky, you might very well be eligible, depending.

2: What proof will you accept that you are wrong? You ask us to change our mind, but we cannot change yours?
3: It is not our responsability to disprove your claims, but rather your responsability to prove them.
4. Personal testamonials are not proof.

Huli they just wanted to be cheap and pay less money. They played a bit of a game to get that. To be honest if they are capable of doing that then I’m probably better off not to be working for them.

Robin there was no document signed so I doubt I’d be eligible for that.

Anyway I’ve since had 2 job interviews, i.e. 1 each for 2 different companies. I’m waiting to hear back on those.

I actually found out today that I was successful with one interview. This is for door to door market research.

Although I’d actually prefer the other job I apply for. Even though the job I’ve been offered involves no selling it would involve walking around to people’s houses. At least I’ve got a job now.
