Success? (it’s complicated) - Three job interviews

Bit like buses. You don’t get them for a long time then suddenly they come in bunches.

I had interview one a couple of days ago. Yesterday I was interviewed for a different job. Tomorrow I’ll be interviewed by yet another company.

I was beside myself looking for enough clean business shirts. Fortunately that’s OK. I’ll just have a fun time washing them when this is over.

I think I looked a site before I got changed for my first interview. Looking like a deadbeat in jeans and unshaven. Then I was off in my nice woollen suit after a shower and a shave. It’s always a bit of an anti climax after the interview. I’m sure they went OK though.

Always being nervous having a bite to eat while wearing my suit and tie. Making sure I don’t have pasta with any kind of sauce.

Peter, for a lot of college graduates, blue and white collar folks the notion of an ‘interview’ is beyond them here right now….............never mind keeping a shirt laundered! That you’ve had THREE of these is reason to celebrate!

Yes but think of the ironing I have to endure.

Plus I seem to have gained a small amount of weight. At least that’s what my suit jacket seems to be telling me as I button it up.

Yeah, you always only button the top button if it’s two buttons, middle if it’s three. If it’s a bit snug, go ahead and leave it unbuttoned.

But the watch is also very important. If you want to be dressed like a gentleman, you must wear a watch. Of course, it’s not necessary to buy a new watch to be well dressed. Used watches are as elegant as new ones.

One job interview seemed a bit too suss for words. I’ll see how it turns out.

The first job interview didn’t work out. The last job interview seems promising.
