A really big fish that hates Canadians?  Somebody in Detroit trying to get even with Canada for Celine Dion?  A nefarious American plot to drive Canadians further north, thus allowing US settlers to take over the abandoned territory?

I knew I could count on you for creative theories.

Having been thru Windsor many times on my way thru to the States and in fact having lived nearby for a while, I can honestly say I’ve never experienced it.  I don’t know of any of my friends there that have ever mentioned it either.  Sounds like the one experienced by that town in the southwestern states, Texas I think. 

The American side of the river across from Windsor is lined with factories and heavy industrial complexes so it wouldn’t surprise me if a lot of that noise was making it’s way across the river.
