Okay, I am wondering this:

Is the Republican primary campaign, and by extension the National elections, are things getting dirtier than in the past,
(meaning more personal and less substantive)?

Oh it’s definitely ‘dirtier’ and just plain .... a circus.  But this is in HUGE part because of the wide-wide audience who laps up everything in near-real time.  So many media platforms, blogs, opinion pieces, side debates as well as satirical comedy is saturated by any tidbit of fodder that is dragged from here to Mars and back again. 

But Hey, we are entertained…..right?
