Ohhhh nothing in particular. The weather was crappy, my bosses at work were beign a pain, the usual stuff. At least the weather has gottten better since then.
Well another weekend at work. At least it’s nice and peaceful around here on the weekends because everyone else is off. Although there are a couple of classes of rather good looking flight attendants to ogle should I decide to venture out of the office.
I don’t have nice peaceful weekends at work. I have days like last night and today and tomorrow, which involve carrying large desks and office furniture down staircases. Still, I don’t work many weekends, and I’m off two days next week.
Speaking of nice weekends… weather’s absolutely gorgeous here, and I have the majority of my homework done. Just have a couple of things to finish before Monday. Also, I’ve used all of my work study hours, so while I’ll miss having that little bit of extra income, it’ll be nice to just be able to concentrate on school assignments.
Basically something like that, Huli. The nice thing about work study is that it’s a grant, not a loan, so I don’t have to pay it back. And it’s not really given to me, I earn it by working someplace that’s partnered with the school—in my case, the Salvation Army’s thrift store. It was nice because I was earning more than minimum wage, so paychecks were actually pretty decent. And the store was really good about working around my school schedule.
With the nice weather coming on I think I’ll dig out my smoker this week and make up some jerky. I’ve had a craving for some for a while not but it’s been too cold to smoke it properly. Going to try some smoked cheese too this year. That should be interesting and if it turns out it will definitely be on the menu again in the future.
