Well, see the problem is that these people often *cannot* function normally. A lot of them suffer from Apophenia, which basically causes them to think unconnected things are really connected. To the average person, such faulty connections are easily dismissed as absurd, but for sufferers, they look at the ‘links’ between things, and wonder why nobody else sees them, even though it’s clear as day to them. This leads into several behaviors that we have seen from the conspiracy nuts that lurk here.
They often think that people just need to *see* the connection, to have it pointed out to them, and they will understand. “See? It’s a squirrel? And here’s a firetruck! Now do you believe?”
This same set of faulty connections also applies to their verbal skills, resulting in bizarrely-constructed sentences. Words have warped meanings for them. “Don’t doubting because the Illuminati unlearn!”
Of course, after enough people point out that theyr’e the only ones who see the connections, they develop this messianic need to inform everyone. “The Iluminati kill everyone who reveal their secrets, but I am posting to every single message board I can find!”
