And I was in bed before midnight. Not being a party person I don’t get into the celebrations, it’s just another day. Mind you having to work tonight might have had something to do with it.
We were actually awake watching a marathon of all 7 years of Star Trek Deep Space Nine (we’ve been watching every night for the past couple weeks) but didn’t realize the New Year until firecrackers started going off . I’m afraid no drinks except rootbeer etc. We’re pretty…...............dull.
I have little idea as to what went into ours, apart from variations on lemonade, orange juice, pineapple juice and sundry alcoholic shots. The names, on the other hand, have stuck in my mind…we ended up with Flaming Monkey Spunk, Flat on Your Arse (because that’s what happened to Nettie when she went to serve it up), and Bilbo Juice.
Wish I was there… ...
ended up watching Captain America and Thor on Video
Orange soda was as strong as my libations got.
In case anyone didn’t see Dave’s health update on Facebook (I’ve really got to get him posting back on here!), he went to see his doctor for a full physical yesterday, and things are looking much better. Basically, even though yes, Dave’s heart is enlarged and thickened, that wasn’t the real problem. The problem was that he wasn’t getting enough oxygen, so his heart had to work harder. If he uses his oxygen and keeps his levels up, his doc says there’s no reason he shouldn’t live for years. So, yay!
