HUzzah! surprised

Just returned from our Local Farmer’s Market downtown.  LOTS of fun.  Various vendors and fantastic farmers were in attendance, as well as some savvy street musicians.  smile  We were able to buy some peaches, peppers, onions, baked goods and some herbs for an indoor herb garden! cheese

(I SO luv cooking from scratch!) wink

So now I am going to eat a bit of lunch, and maybe a ripe peach, and then take a nap. (I walked several *gasp* BLOCKS *gasp*!)  LOL  shut eye

Farmer’s Markets are awesome.

You should see the one we have here in town. The Davis Farmer’s Market is celebrating 35 years, and has evolved from a few guys selling grubby, limp carrots, to an epic-scale shindig. Live bands. Local food vendors. Beer and wines. It’s huge. TWICE A WEEK. It is pretty much THE place to go here in town, andI love sending our hotel guests there (especially since we have microwaves and fridges in the rooms, so they can get some real food for the longer stays). The old guy who sells fresh apple juice has spoiled me for all other juices, and it’s one of the few times I’ll buy a beer when I’m by myself.

Head cold + computer virus = unhappy dragon.  Fortunately the computer thing is at work and in the process of being fixed (I hope).
