That sounds amazing, Robin!
Nomnomnom, Rowenna. Except the sweetcorn. wink

I am making strawberry conserve tonight.
And I’m not even that keen on strawberries…

I’m going to make spicy damson chutney with the damsons I collected in Granny’s garden, I’ve got a recipe for courgette and apricot chutney I want to try, and once the brambles and wild plums ripen it’ll be blackberry and apple jam, maybe plum jam and some pie fillings. smile

I am tired. I misread that as ‘spicy demon chutney’... I was thinking some eldrich concoction, green and luminous, from which the faint screams of a thousand souls could be heard…

I did get a place! grin

I’m all enrolled and paid (and it barely costs me anything) and class starts in three weeks time. Oh, and best of all, it’s the same tutor as last time. She’s opened her own teaching studio, so wasn’t sure if she’d be teaching the council-run classes. smile

The blackberries have already come and gone here; I managed to pick some, but the birds and bears got to most of them first.  The peaches and the first harvest of apples are already finished here, too, with only the late-ripening apple cultivars left.  I ended up with about thirty pounds of apples, many of which went into apple pastries.  The grapes I was thinking about picking all got eaten by the possums before I could get to them, not that the grapes are really all that good for much.

Or it could be a spicy chutney that you spread on demons, so that they taste more palatable.  Or a spicy chutney that you give to demons, so that they run away screaming and looking for water while you can sneak away and hide.

I got my hair cut this evening.  It’s very short!  I actually haven’t had it cut short in about 12 1/2 years, so it’s a big change for me.  I’m planning on coloring it again, too—same auburn I normally do.  I’ll probably post pictures somewhere pretty soon. smile
