A large number of us have never seen the “old site”, whatever that is. I’m really not sure. I feel like there is a clique here to which I will never belong because people keep posting things like “this was discussed a long time ago”. I’m assuming that this forum like anything else cycles, and you have turnover and topics are going to be rediscussed because 75% or so of the users did not take part in the original discussion. I have only been here a short time but I have seen so many new names and I honestly believe that it is OK to discuss things that the orignal core 25% may be sick of. Perhaps they could overlook our newness and allow us to try and have a dialogue and they could just choose to ignore the thread.
If I must do a search each time I have a thought to see if the thought in question was discussed a year ago then I believe I have correctly used the term “clique” and most of us don’t even belong here and are not welcome.
Sorry, but if I want to start a tread on thinspiration ( I don’t), and most of the posters ( regardless of how long they have been members) don’t have a problem with that, I don’t see why someone would want to tell me I can’t, just because they have been here longer than I have and have seen the topic discussed before.
Because they’re not discussions, they’re hate-fests. Trust us, we know. We’ve been doing this awhile now. We just end up closing them because people can’t behave when talking about certain topics. It’s nothing but vicious name-calling and it has no place here.

I sure they were if you say so, but I was TOLD not to start to thread on thirspiration (even though I never intended to), and , I think I can behave myself when talking about certain topics, trust ME, I know. Sorry, but I got my point in and had let it go, but if you see a point in taking further then so do I. I think it rude when the older members keep telling newer ones that something was already discussed, and don’t do it again, especially when no reason or link is given, and a simple stretch in logic would be that the person making the complaint simply doesn’t want to go there again. As my post indicated, MOST of the ACTIVE posters are newer, turnover being a reality in most forums, and things are going to get discussed again and again, sometimes with barbs being thrown (that’s what moderators are for, God love ‘em) and sometimes not. It sounds like one of the reason that the forum changed formats to include a registration requirement is so that the moderators could do the job of editing, banning, and even deleting more effectively.
I was not told the administrator had banned the subject (and I don’t think he has, maybe I’m wrong). It sounded like a personal decision that somebody just didn’t want to deal with it, and I haven’t heard different yet.
There was a HUGE thread on thinspiration on the old site. Please don’t start one here.
That was said entirely through my personal opinion and, because of the topic matter, in an ‘oh no, not again’ manner. It may have been unclear, but I’ve even clarified that I didn’t mean you shouldn’t or couldn’t open one if you wanted, so please don’t act like I was telling you that.
We tend to mention topics have been discussed before and link to them (yes, my bad, I forgot to put in a link to the other forum originally) so that people can see for themselves what has been discussed, and decide whether they have a viewpoint on the subject that is different from the posts there has already been, or whether it’s worth reviving the same topic. There’s nothing rude about it.
Have you guys realised that you are already falling into the whirlpool of annoyances and aggrivation? Shall we stay on topic, why does someone not start a new thread on whether old members should mention if threads have been spoken about before. That should be interesting. (that WAS a joke)
A new post was added to the original article put onto the forum front page. I was terrified that it was Lily once again, but instead it’s an additional two pictures of another young lady laying down and apparently taking a picture of herself with jutting ribs.
I also noted that some of the inflamatory posts ‘lily’ had put in and which I then submitted here had been thoughtfully removed. I would like to thank the forum moderators and administrator for editing them out of that particular article. (They are here for the purposes of this discussion and so I will leave them).
If she does not grow up to be fat and ugly, just who is going to be the butt of all jokes and offensive remarks might I ask?
We all need protection from such risks. The government of whichever or whatever should insist ( by making a draconian law) that she remains as such.
