Psychologists at The University of Manchester are investigating the idea that out-of-body experiences, commonly thought of as paranormal phenomena, may in fact have their roots in how people perceive and experience their own bodies.

I won’t argue with the assertation that OOB is commonly thought of as being paranormal, and that’s what frightens me.  Most people don’t even question such absurd statements or beliefs.

I just believe .....every paranormal subject has scientific evidence somewhere. We will see some day.

Sometimes when I dream I see myself doing things rather than seeing from my eyes; in fact I may have drempt mostly in that fashion when I was around 5 or 6.  Now mostly when I dream it’s as if I’m in my body, or watching other people.

CP, when I dream, I’m always watching myself do things, rather than seeing from my eyes. Is than unusual? Hmm, I thought everyone dreamt that way.

I knew a lady that claimed to have an OOBE, she kind of got adopted into our family, b/c she thinks my mom saved her life.  (Technically it’s true.)  Anywho…she says she saw herself turning blue, and starting to die, when my mom came into the hospital room and started to fix her ventilator and whatnot to help her continue breathing normally.  Then she went back into her body when she got oxygen again.

I’ve never had this type of experience, but I don’t think it’s paranormal.

When I dream, it’s usually like I’m watching TV, and seeing everything happen.  Sometimes I’m not the me I am right now, I’m watching a person that IS me, but doesn’t look like me now.  Usually the first person dreams I have are when I am doing a specific action.  Writing on a notepad, picking lint up from the carpet.

No one can explain a simple DREAM leave alone other normal or paranormal stuff.  Dream is considered normal because we all have it.  But why do we have it?  What is the message?  Who knows.  So OOB may be real or it may not.  Who knows?  May be someday we will.

I thought (this is my gcse psychology coming into play, so dont quote me) when you dreamed you sorted out problems that you could’nt in waking life. I think thats what I do, I dream about things relating to my life. Hell, i could be dreaming now and i wouldnt know any better except that I’d usually be watching myself type, and not actually typing.

ALL of this, everything, could all be one big dream! Your dreams could be dreams within a dream!!! Our entire lives could be one big matrix run by aliens to harvest our energy… No wait, that was a show I saw. Nevermind…

Sort of like the 13th floor.  We could all just be someone else’s video game.
