I am researching the story of the Spear of Christ, also known as the Spear of Destiny, or the Holy Lance.  I would like to connect with individuals, or groups, that are still looking for the Spear.  I want to find out the latest information on the Spear, its true location and its ultimate mission in today

Last I heard it was in a museum somewhere

There’s an article at Wikipedia. Although to be honest I don’t see how anybody can claim to identify it. If a Roman soldier used it to spear Jesus I don’t see why he would keep it aside and identified as that spear. How could you really prove a particular spear was used in that situation?

This whole thing about things like the Spear of Destiny and the Holy Foreskin and other such relics has gone too far for my liking.

Also, if it was an actual Roman legionnaire and not some foreign auxiliary, then the spear would look absolutely nothing like what is usually shown in pictures.  By 30 AD, the Roman army had gone to using pila.
