I just finished reading Dan Brown’s Deception Point. It’s ABOUT a hoax (I guess all his books are sorta). A couple of people who want to insure that the current (fictional) president is reelected find a very old piece of rock in the Arctic containing an ancient sea fossil. They try to pass it off as a meteorite and proof of extraterrestrial life in order to discredit the President’s opponent who wants to disband NASA. We need something cool like that to really happen.
Here’s a hoax for you: I am really a giant purple weevil. Now, is the hoax that I’m not really a weevil, or is it that I am a weevil and I’m trying to make you all think that me being a weevil is the hoax?

Oh, you’re so beautiful… I want to take you home and feed you grain & capers.

Thanks for that. I was going to start reading it after I finished the book i’m currently reading, but now I don’t need to I guess.
Mort, all of Dan Brown’s book are pretty much exactly the same, so just read one of the others. It shits me that all of them start with someone being woken up in the middle of the night by a phone call. I mean, come on! Does he not have any other ideas???
