Oh? It seemed to make 3 squares or rectangles and four triangles to me…. (Though I think their next to last line was a bit off kilter…)
SPOILER: . . One big box, two smaller rectangles; Two large triangles (Large box bi-sected) two smaller triangles (To either side of midline, middle…)
No The puzzle specifically asks for three squares/rectangles not three four sided shapes.
They show one square and two four sided shapes as their solution.
The central vertical line divides the square into two rectangles.
