Personally, I feel that the show lost its spark over the last couple of years. This episode was, in my opinion, better than most of the episodes shown over that time period.

YAY!!! I can’t wait to see it! I can’t believe I have like 2 weeks before that can happen though…

It will probably be a few years before I watch it.  So you can’t talk about it until, oh, 2015 or thereabout.

Meh, there’s only so long before ‘spoilers’ run out.

I agree, I don’t know if for the same reasons though.  I haven’t watched the new episode yet.  The show seemed to be to be getting very dark, the thing I liked about the show in the past is it dealt with serious issues but was still light and funny at the same time.  Lately it just seemed everyone was grim and downtrodden about what had happened and what was going to happen.  I don’t really get into shows too deep, I watch for purely entertainment value, so I may be way off of what others feel.

I don’t know if they were “darker”, per se, but they were certainly heavier.  I think the reason behind that is that the writers seemed to have been showing us more of the doctor’s motivations and personality.  Kind of fleshing out the character, so to speak.  And I enjoyed (most of) it.  I liked being able to see why the wheels inside his head were turning the way they were.  What his motivations were.  Why he was alone.

Eh, heavier may be a better word for what I was attempting to describe.

I like the new doctor. He reminds me of a befuddled professor. I especially like the suspenders.

I watched it last night, I really didn’t find it scary in anyway.  It was OK.  I think as long as they continue to have good writers for the show it will remain a good show.
