Weirdness watchers will be only too aware that the occult has seeped into the media mainstream over the last few decades. The nexus of strangeness that was once high occultism has a history spanning many millennia, but over the 20th century it passed from being the exclusive preserve of (mostly English) eccentrics into a commercial media phenomenon.
If it is true that we might have taken part in occult rituals without our knowing it, it is probably also true that we must have been in agreement with it deep down inside. Now that the “hidden” aspect of the occult is no longer so “hidden” (through Hollywod) it makes me wonder if it is too late—the body snatchers have already (apparently) won, and so they don’t care if we know about it or even talk about it anymore. Like the Borg on Star Trek, they ignore us and simply go around telling us not to “tolerate outrageous conspiracy theories . . . ” which is akin to the Borg mantra “resistance is futile!”
Nobody has ever explained to me what the final outcome of all this alleged manipulation is leading to. Claims that people in power are manipulating the little people through subterfuge seems ridiculous considering these people are ALREADY IN POWER AND WEALTHY!
While I can’t recall any time that I’ve actively participated in a cult ritual (I’m sure there was a time or two as a young child), I have been a passive participant (ie - sat there watching) in many over the years. Usually they took place at weddings or funerals, especially Catholic ones. Mass, and particularly Communion, will get you every time.
