Other direction on the 12 days, Tah. The 12 days is the time it took for three wise guys to get to some dirty litle shack and give some kid a buncha birthday presents, thereby setting the tradition for belated christmas gifts.
Yes, the 25th is Christmas (unless you’re Greek Orthodox or Syriac or whatever, and probably not if you’re Jewish or Shinto), the 26th is St. Stephen’s Day, then there’s some other day, then the 28th is Childermas, and then there are some other days that I can’t remember which goes when, and it all ends on the Feast of the Epiphany on the 5th of January. And the night of the 5th of January is Twelfth Night, as in the namesake of the play by Shakespeare.
