Link’s not working for me (I think it’s a problem with Livescience, not your link).  But it’d be interesting to know if substances which can show up in urine would affect the battery’s performance.

It just worked for me… maybe it’s time for Smerk to get a new PC? Ask the boss if you can pick one up with the “petty cash” from the office???

They did note in the article though how someone’s health would effect the performance of the battery… or something to that effect.

Okay, what they appear to be saying is that these batteries will be installed in medical equipment that tests for diseases using urine…So, that’d mean that the urine is tested at the same time it powers the battery.  And you’d probably find that you wouldn’t be pissing direct onto the battery.
