Are you a Neal Stephenson fan, by any chance?

I think that I would first need to have heard of the author before and to have read some of his works before I could be considered a fan. . .

This Is the book we’re referring to, where (one of the) mob (-like factions) is called Cosa Nostra Pizza.  Hiro Protagonist (aptly named, really) works for them at the beginning of the book.
