Okay. Here’s the daily chit chat thread. The other one is for guesses and chat about the pending birth. And, hopefully, news of said birth when it happens.

Even if that’s not until February in 2011.

No, no, that’s when Madmouse gives birth to the other one, the Nuclear Baby.

So… I have plans for cooking this weekend. I’ve found some excellent recipes online, so I’m going to make a huge batch of delicious things.
*hugs*

Including hearts?
If you can perfect your cooking technique for them now, you ought to serve them for dinner on February 14th.

I plan to do a load of cooking tomorrow - making batches of chilli, bolognaise, curried chicken and Morroccan chicken to freeze. We’ve been making and freezing extra portions most times we’ve cooked lately, so that once the baby comes we can just nuke a portion and cook pasta, rice, noodles or potatoes to go with it.

Nope, I am cooking the hearts right now. Along with roast baby potatoes, shallots, garlic and green beans.
Good plan, Mouse.

You’re supposed to have all your female friends and relatives do all your cooking for you in the months after childbirth, Madmouse.

She’s instinctively ‘nesting’.
It’s common and normal in the very last week(s) of pregnancy for a mother-to-be to cook, clean and fix everything in readiness. She is suddenly feeling energetic even if tired at the same time getting ‘ready’ including cooking and caching it away.

That also explains her gathering up of twigs, pebbles, small bones and bits of string from the surrounding countryside.

Mouse…I had this and froze it for my first post-baby meal…

Also have taken it to many mommas after their babies. It’s super yummy, and has LOTS of protein and complex carbs.
