Most studies are only read by a handful of people.  I’d be willing to bet a fair amount that if I were to go around thirty years from now, I wouldn’t meet many people at all who read any of the studies that I published.  I wouldn’t even expect that now.

The UC library system is huge. It almost never lets me down.

Just been looking at accounts of the study in British textbooks.  A number mention that an odourless anaesthetic was released into the puppy’s cage causing it to fall asleep, (it wasn’t) and many reproduce the incorrect obedience rate and most forget to include the fact that shocks would not have caused the puppy any serious harm.
