Predictions from 1900—Ladies Home Journal

This list seems a hoax to me. A few of them read like a 21st century person trying to write like an early 20th century person.  Especially this one:

He will live fifty years instead of thirty-five as at present.

Thirty-five seems like extreme low-balling.

35 seems low to me too but this could be the average age. Don’t forget things were very different in 1900.

I think you’re right actually. At least the part about the average age of mortality way back then.

I might’ve been thinking of this thread.
