A co-worker said to me this morning that ‘they’ (not sure whether this refers to politicians or the media) were making a big fuss about swine flu in the hope that the population would forget about the scandal of MPs’s expenses.
I’ve hears a lot of swine flu conspiracy theories, but this is a new one.
I may have to investigate further.

Seems you have a colleague who thinks Britain is the World. Outside the UK we give a rats arse about your MP’s Expenses declaration scandal, but the Taco Fever is still a hot item here as well…

I believe that the Mexicans are a tad agitated by the disease, too. . .

Hardly, seeing as she’s not originally British. There’s no need to jump to unflattering conclusions about her. Well, other than she’s more than a tad influenced by conspiracy theories.
wink

However, she was talking about British media (or politicians). Maybe I should have made that clearer in my original post.

No further updates, other than it’s allegedly also to take the heat off the war in Afghanistan.

I like what Than Siegel had to say about the 01NK-flu:

Over 1,000 dead from the Swine Flu. And…?

I think it

His point is that no more people will die of this flu compared with other strains.
