A co-worker said to me this morning that ‘they’ (not sure whether this refers to politicians or the media) were making a big fuss about swine flu in the hope that the population would forget about the scandal of MPs’s expenses.
I’ve hears a lot of swine flu conspiracy theories, but this is a new one.
I may have to investigate further.

Seems you have a colleague who thinks Britain is the World. Outside the UK we give a rats arse about your MP’s Expenses declaration scandal, but the Taco Fever is still a hot item here as well…

Hardly, seeing as she’s not originally British. There’s no need to jump to unflattering conclusions about her. Well, other than she’s more than a tad influenced by conspiracy theories.

However, she was talking about British media (or politicians). Maybe I should have made that clearer in my original post.

No further updates, other than it’s allegedly also to take the heat off the war in Afghanistan.
